My husband and I purchased a memory foam mattress about 5 years ago that now stays permanently indented where we sleep. I have back and leg pain from permanent nerve damage as a result of a herniated disc. I also have a herniated disc in my cervical area. We are in our 40's. My husband is 6'6" and weighs over 300 lb, and I am 5'5" and 180 lb. I have a hard time sleeping on a really firm mattress, but my pain is worse lately and I feel like I am fighting from falling into the middle of the bed all night. We recently stayed at Cambria Suites and the mattress was so comfortable! It was a Sealy Choice Posturepedic plush pillow top tier ll. I don't find it online anywhere. Could you please help me find a mattress that will give me support and comfort?
The Posturepdics are marketed for hotels with different names than those used at retail. Even then, the names at retail are different at every store.
Typically, a hotel will use a Posturepedic similar to our Grass Leaf model....aka, E-Level.
However, hotels replace their mattresses frequently. Most mattresses, today, don't hold up very well...as you have seen. The use of memory foam is part of the reason. Being only one sided, is another.
Pillowtops also are a cause for premature wear, which is why I included the link to the Grass Leaf in plush without the pillowtop.
We have available, a two sided mattress. It uses the same coil system that Sealy uses and has all of the highest desinuty materials. There is no memory foam and it has no pillowtop.
It is, however, very comfortable and offers long lasting support...something you'll need for long term use under a big man.
Here is the link to that mattress, as well.
