We bought a Sleep to Live bed two years ago. After 10 months, there was a huge gully on one side. Kingsdown Sleep to Live Mattress Company said it was due to the fact that we were not using their bed frame. At the time of purchase, the store's salesman told us we did not need to purchase a new bed frame since we already owned one. Kingsdown would not replace the bed and voided all warranties on the bed from that point forward. One of the big selling features for this bed is a lifetime warranty!! Now a year later, I cannot sleep on that side of the bed at all. My husband I have to sleep in separate beds. We financed $5,000 and have a year to pay on this piece of junk!
Hi Karen,
The warranty is the hook. You got suckered in and I feel for you. I don't believe you can take solace in the fact that you are not alone.
While an expensive one, it is a lesson learned and one to share with everyone.
If you are considering the warranty of the product as a reason to buy, you are making the mistake that the retailer and manufacturer wants you to make. It is no less than, a trap.
The retailers that push this stuff, as well as the factories that makes it, are equally culpable in defruading you.
If you can afford a $5000 mattress, you can afford a lawyer to sue them on the basis of fraud.
Thanks, Pete
