Steven - Replacing a 20 year old Sealy foam mattress

Thank you for providing this service. I cannot believe the timing on this but I suspect it was almost 20 years ago that I purchased at sears a Sealy Posturepedic Premium Elite Opal Polyurethane Foam full size mattress. I have tried several times over the last 5 years to find a similar bed; as I recall the foam category used to be just a simple alternative to springs etc. Now "foam" sends sales people talking about a hundreds of options. I only know that this 20 year old bed has not shown much wear and is extremely comfortable. Any help you can offer would be appreciated and if it is possible to replace it with your company, I will. I am not especially price sensitive.

An all poly foam mattress wouldn't normally last that long. To be sure, please look at the white label that is sewn into one of the seams in the back of the mattress. It will give the percentages of materials used. I ask, because only latex tends to last that long.

Regardless, in today's market, only latex will last that long. As you've noticed while shopping, things have changed quite a bit in the last 20 years.

If you want a coilless mattress, latex is the best of them. Even here, though, you have to be careful, There are a lot of, so-called, latex mattresses that have very little latex in them. Here is a link to the S&F latex line, with levels 2 and above using a latex core.
