Michele - S&F Ultra Firm mattress

Dear Peter, I am looking for a Sterns and Foster ultra firm mattresss w/o a pillowtop and w/o a foam top, just an old fashioned ultra firm mattress. Thank you, Desperate in NJ

Hi Michele,
There are 3 types of foam. Polyurethane foam is the most common and you'd be hard pressed to find a mattress without it. The oldest and most durable is Latex foam. Some of the better mattresses have this.
The worst and most complained about is Memory foam...to be avoided if possible, but not too bad in very small amounts.
In the S&F line, the "J" grade, our Duval St., is available in an ultra firm. It uses 1/2" of memory foam and has no latex.
Their best spec is at the "P" grade, our Lucas Park. It has.79" of latex and NO memory foam....also available in an ultra firm.
The Lucas Park is your best choice.

I purchased a Sealy Huntington king sized set-up in 2003 from your store. I've been very happy with it and need to order another king-size, but Sealy no longer makes this particular mattress. What is the closest latex mattress (firmest) equivalent?T
