Hi. It's my understanding that the same mattress can be sold at different stores under different names, so I'm just trying to understand this a bit better so that I can be as educated as possible in purchasing a mattress. Is it that Sealy makes only one preferred mattress, reserved mattress, etc at a time and this mattress is sold under different names or do they have a couple preferred mattresses at a time on the market? Thanks so much for all your help!
Hi Carolyn. There are 3 series names with the Posturepedic line. (Preferred, Reserve, Signature). Each series represents a different sets of features...ie: more coils, better edge support, a little latex and lumbar support channels. Within each series, there are levels. These are levels of expense with changes in padding only. There are 3 levels in the Preferred Series, 2 in the Reserve Series and 5 in the Signature Series. Each level has a model name. It's the model name that varies from store to store. At each level, there is a choice of comfort...(firm, cushion firm, plush...etc)....all with the same model name, but a different firmness designation.
