My husband and I purchased a Sealy Posterpedic Glen Manor pillow top and aren't satisfied with the mattress. We are within our 60 day period and have started shopping for a different mattress. I have appreciated your blog and wished we would have found it before making an initial purchase. We are both side sleepers, he can sleep on anything and I prefer something soft. We are considering either purchasing a Stearns and Foster Tropical Oasis Cove Haven or a different plush Sealy posterpedic and then purchasing a latex topper. It sounds like our warrenty period may be waived to get us to the new models that will arrive by the end of the month. With your comments on the new S&F mattresses, would we be better to wait or take advantage of the floor model closeouts.
Hi Beth. There are only a couple of the current S&F line models that are worth buying. If they have a level 1 plush floor sample at a greatly reduced rate, that's fine. However, the Tropical Oasis Cove Haven, a latex mattress, is still better than anything in the new line of S&F coil units. The latex line isn't changing. The Cove Haven, same as my Beachside, is singularly the best mattress on the market. There's no need to wait. That's the best you can get.
