I love the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, and I am aware they can be bought directly from Sheraton. Can you tell me what it is? I know it is a Sealy posturepedic of some sort. My husband and I are desperate for a new bed but he would like the 30 day guarantee offered through most local stores as opposed to buying from Sheraton.
Second question, our current bed is a Simmons BeautyRest, 6 years old. Can we keep the box springs, or is really true that we should buy new ones with a new mattress? Thanks so much!
Hi Elizabeth. While Simmons makes a strong boxspring, 6 years is too old to use with a new mattress. Hotels usually buy mattresses that are more cheaply made, than those you buy at retail. Mattresses for hotels are made to specification by the contract division of the manufacturer. The coil system used is the same as what you can find at a retail store. The exact specifications are not likely to be available. However, there are a number of models that use that same coil system. Finding one that feels very much like it, should be easy.
Look at the Sealy Posturepedics that say "Reserve" on the label. Those are your best buys.
