I have been mattress shopping for two days now, and I think I've got it narrowed down to two choices:One is an American Signature brand, Royal Serenity Deluxe, the other is s Sealy Posturepedic Seaview Pines. It seems to me that the only difference between these mattresses are the coils: the Royal Serenity Deluxe has individually coiled springs, whereas the Sealy has the Posturepedic springs.I don't have any chronic physical ailments, so I'm not sure which one is best for me. Which would be the better choice?
Hi Jessica. Near as I can tell from the website, American Signature is the name of the furniture store. The Royal Serenity is an inexpensively made, private label Simmons Beautyrest. The steel in those coils is not tempered, compared to the double tempering of the Sealy Posturepedic coils. The gauge of the wire is also 1/2 gauge thinner than the Sealy. I find it disingenuous to show a picture of a nice looking pillowtop when clearly, the mattress described is not.
