We have had the same problems with Airloom Beds. We purchased our bed initially in December, 2006. We ultimately had 3 different inspections on the "Rip Van Winkle" bed before the warranty was honored - all in all it took us a year and a half to get a replacement. It had extreme sagging on my side of the bed (I weigh 210 lbs) along with a very large hump in the middle - this occured despite rotating the bed every two months. My wife's side was in tact. We are in the same situation with our replacement that we ended up upgrading to (An additional $800 was required to get a firmer bed). Well we are in month 5 and the bed has the same issues. We are hoping to get our money back instead of a replacement - this is causing back problems and sleepless night. Hard to believe this could be occuring with a $5,000 bed. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thank you. Jim
Hi Jim. I hate to tell you this, but the biggest reason for your problem is the money you spent. Equating a long lasting mattress with a hefty price tag is simply flawed logic....in this business. The padding is the most expensive part of the mattress. There is a point of diminishing return, to say the least. The more padding you put on a mattress, the greater the impression will be. Add to that your size and it's only months before an expensive mattress starts to lose its shape. And there's one more bit of bad news. The higher up the line you go, the greater the profit margins at both wholesale and retail. In other words, you've been had. If it makes you feel any better, you're in a very large boat with a whole lot of other people.
In making the exchange, you made another common mistake...throwing good money after bad.
A Sealy SpringFree Beachside would have cost $1999.00 in king. You'd sleep like a baby (without colic) and you'd have it for many years. If you can divest yourself of what you have, the Beachside would be the one to buy.
In dealing with what you have. Rotate your king mattress 1/4 turn every month.
We deliver that free to your area and with NO SALES TAX.
