Hi Peter, I'm looking for a King Mattress - I have spinal stenosis and bad lower back discs so I need something that is comfortable - I was looking at the Hotel plush at Macy's but got worried when I read the reviews which said they sagged badly after only a few months. Plush usually feels good to me altho I can't stand much memory foam. I tried a pillow top and felt like I was sinking in too much and anything firm makes my legs numb. Price doesn't matter- do you have any recommendations? Would a euro- top be OK? Thanks, Sherry
Hi Sherry, When a too soft mattress loses its shape, which thay almost always do, you end up having spent a lot of money for nothing. The best way to achieve your goal is with a latex topper on a firmer mattress. Your disc problems require the firmer base support. A latex topper will soften the top without that sinking feeling you get from memory foam. Start with the Stearns & Foster Abbeville. It's a level 6 cushion firm and the best value in the S&F line. Get a 2" latex topper for it...(available somewhere on the web)...and you'll have everything you need.
